Massages to Help You Feel Your Best

At Finish Line Wellness, we offer a variety of massage techniques designed to focus on specific trouble areas. Each one will provide its own set of benefits. We also customize each massage to fit the personal needs of the client. Our therapist will take the time to ask you about any particularly sore spots and spend time focusing on those. We offer all of the following massage types:

Myofascial Release

Often used by athletes, this massage technique increases circulation and range of motion. The improved circulation allows muscles to recover more quickly from injury, while the improvement in range of motion can help to prevent muscle and ligament tears.

Swedish Relaxation

Often the most common type of massage, this technique uses movements in the same direction as blow flow toward the heart. We apply pressure to muscles by pushing them against deeper muscles and bones for a relaxing and healing experience.

Rehabilitative/Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapy

Best for relieving pain, this technique addresses deep muscles, tendons, and ligaments to help the body heal and recover faster.

Pregnancy

This type of massage uses safe, gentle, and effective techniques to help expecting mothers relieve discomfort during pregnancy.

Sports

The motions used during a sports massage are faced-paced to stimulate muscles. We’ll change up the techniques used depending on whether you are pre- or post-competition.

Reflexology Techniques

Using thumb and finger techniques, reflexology is meant to promote relaxation and rehabilitation. This massage will help balance the body into a state of homeostasis.

Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage

When broken down, the word “ashi” means foot and “atsu” means pressure. With this type of massage the therapist uses their feet, which allows them to provide consistent pressure and deliver deep, broad strokes. With gravity on their side, the therapist is able to provide up to 3 times more pressure, with the help of their body weight. Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage assists with rest and recovery of muscles, increases circulation, and improves range of motion. It is a unique modality that is incredibly therapeutic for the human body.

Microcurrent

Our FDA-cleared, hand-held Microcurrent device is an Avazzia product, where electrical impulses are transmitted by electrodes through the skin and into the tissue. The current communicates with the body’s nervous system with the bio-feedback mode on the device. This is a superior healing method compared to a traditional TENS unit due to the bio-feedback mode. The results are great in dealing with pain management, scar tissue, inflammation, etc.
