Matt Schoenecker, L.Ac. grew up in Lakeville, MN and attended St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN for his undergraduate degree. Upon graduation from St. John’s, Matt became a high school math teacher. After teaching for 10 years, he found he had a growing interest in natural medicine, and specifically Traditional Chinese Medicine, so Matt enrolled in the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Roseville, MN. There, he committed himself fully to his studies, finishing the four-year program in three years. Upon graduating from AAAOM in 2014 with a Master in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Matt was offered a scholarship to study at the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shenyang, China, where he spent two & a half years studying under Dr. Gao, a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine endocrinologist.
